This committee assists the Board of Directors, Membership Committee, and Chamber staff in membership retention through membership outreach, including supporting members at networking events by introducing them to other members, adopting a new member by personally inviting them to events and having quarterly one-on-one contact, calling or visiting Chamber members, promoting the Chamber during day-to-day activities, and wearing an SCOC Ambassador name tag when attending Chamber events.

This committee promotes Chamber member participation in school-to-career initiatives, including Job Shadow Day, student scholarships, the annual Lunch & Learn at Henry James Memorial School, and others. ?In addition, they work to enhance the relationship and collaboration with Simsbury High School to increase the school's participation in school-to-career initiatives, and solicit funding and support for all the initiatives.? This committee's responsibilities also include the development, procurement, and presentation of member education programs to assist Chamber members in the development and growth of their businesses.

This committee consists of the Chamber's officers, plus two additional directors. Their responsibilities lie with reviewing and/or setting Chamber policy, as needed, and setting goals for the Plan of Action.

The Finance Committee oversees the management of all of the Chamber's finances and records.

This committee advocates for Chamber members through its involvement at the local and state government levels. Committee members monitor issues of concern to Simsbury businesses and attend government meetings, as appropriate, and communicate issues to the committee, Board of Directors, and Chamber members.

The purpose of this committee is to promote health, wellness, and physical fitness in the workplace and in the community through outreach, education, and the planning of, and participation in, community events.

This task force develops, organizes, and presents the Simsbury Spooktacular Drive-Thru Celebration, held in conjunction with Halloween each year.
